Areas we cover
Where we work, and what the connectivity is like there
We are based in Tring and work across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Every town is different, so rather than claim we cover everywhere, here is what we actually know about each one.
Berkhamsted
Full fibre on the High Street, shared leased lines on Northbridge Road, and an engineer who can be with you in about twenty minutes.
What we do in BerkhamstedHemel Hempstead
Full fibre now reaches most of the town, the Openreach stop-sell is already in force, and most local businesses have not moved yet.
What we do in Hemel HempsteadLuton
Every business in Luton can have a digital phone system. Not every business in Luton can get the broadband to run one, and that is the problem worth solving first.
What we do in LutonSt Albans
St Albans moved earlier than most of Hertfordshire, and has more broadband providers to choose between than anywhere nearby. Both facts have consequences.
What we do in St AlbansTring
We are based in Tring. Every one of our clients in the town is already on digital services, and none of them lost a day to it.
What we do in TringWatford
Watford has been under an Openreach stop-sell longer than any town nearby. For the buildings full fibre still has not reached, there is another way in.
What we do in Watford
Which exchanges have already stopped selling copper
Long before the 2027 deadline, Openreach switches individual exchanges to full fibre only. Once that happens you can carry on with what you have, but you cannot re-sign, change speed, restart a cancelled line, or move to a cheaper provider without moving to full fibre at the same time. Shopping around is itself what catches most businesses out.
These are the exchanges covering the towns we work in, checked against Openreach's own stop-sell register.
| Town | Exchange | Where it stands |
|---|---|---|
| Berkhamsted | SMBK | Not a priority exchange. Openreach started building full fibre here in November 2025, so this will change. |
| Hemel Hempstead | SMHH | Stop-sell in force since 14 February 2026. |
| Luton | SMLT | Not a priority exchange, which means full fibre has not reached enough of the town yet. |
| St Albans | LNSTB | Stop-sell in force since 5 June 2026. |
| St Albans | Bowmansgreen LNBGN | Stop-sell in force since 1 November 2022, the earliest anywhere near us. |
| Tring | SMTR | Not a priority exchange, which means full fibre has not reached enough of the town yet. |
| Watford | LWWAT | Stop-sell in force since 16 February 2024. |
One thing worth being clear about, because it is widely got wrong: a stop-sell applies building by building, not across the whole town. It only bites where full fibre has actually reached your premises. Where it has not, the older services are all still available. Nobody has had their town switched off.
We also work in Harpenden, Harrow and Aylesbury
We have customers in these towns too, we just have not written anything up about them yet. Call us and we will tell you what is available at your postcode rather than in general.
Not sure what you can get where you are?
Send us your postcode and we will confirm exactly which broadband and telephone services are available at your building, with a price.
